Greig was voted the Greatest Ever Ranger by the club’s support and there’s no arguing against that point.
Greig is the epitome of everything a Rangers player should be and – to this day – still carries himself in a manner befitting of the club’s standards when he was a player.
Even long after hanging up his boots Greig’s influence at Ibrox – along with the late, great Sandy Jardine – is still felt at Ibrox with the former captain and manager known simply as Legend.
The only Rangers captain – so far – to lift a European trophy and one of the most decorated players in the club’s history it will take something truly special to ever knock Greig from his perch as the greatest Rangers player ever.
