4. Fabian Delph U-turn
As Aston Villa continued that slide down the table, they had an oasis of hope with players like Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph running riot in the squad.
Delph signed for Villa from Leeds United in 2009 when O’Neill was in charge and after a few years he was one of the most exciting players in the first-team.
That ultimately attracted attention from big-spending Manchester City.
There were reports that Delph was having a medical with City, but he personally released a statement to say that he was going nowhere and would remain at Villa Park.
Days later he was on his way to Manchester, back-stabbing the fans who he had promised he would stay.
