Dion Dublin misses out on top spot in five most shocking Aston Villa moments in 21st century
3. Peter Enckelman

No one will ever forget Peter Enckelman – the worst goalkeeper to ever grace the Premier League.
Enckelman’s entire five-year stay at Villa Park was just outrageously bad and it culminated in 2002 when he had what was without doubt the worst ever performance from a player than fans have ever seen – and it was against Birmingham City.
In the Second City derby, Enckelman scored an own goal by completely failing to control a throw-in from Olof Mellberg.
That 3-0 loss to Birmingham on that was their biggest since 1986 and it even including a Blues fan invading the pitch and goading Enckelman just inches from his face.
