£2m attacker not even most hopeless of bunch in five worst Leeds signings under Radrizzani

5. Jay-Roy Grot

Signed from: NEC Nijmegen – Fee of £750,000 rising to £1.5million (approx) – Appearances: 16

It is a measure of how frustrated Leeds fans were by the lumpen performances of the Dutch teenager that he was jeered when he came off the bench towards the end of a 1-0 win over Norwich shortly before Christmas. By that point, United supporters felt they had seen enough of the forward possessing the rawness of uncooked chicken. Bar one sub appearance in the FA Cup, Grot has not been seen in the senior team since, with Leeds taking the sensible decision to demote him to the Under-23s and allow him to develop in a less pressurised environment.
