Celtic player ratings in defeat v Kilmarnock: 3/10 player has absolute shocker
COMMENT
Celtic slumped to only their second defeat of the league season as the Hoops lost 1-0 to Steve Clarke’s rapidly improving Kilmarnock side at Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Rodgers made two changes from the side which defeated Hearts 3-1, with new signings Jack Hendry and Charly Musonda replacing Jozo Simunovic and Odsonne Edouard.
The Hoops were disrupted in the first-half by two injuries, with both Kristoffer Ajer and Dedryck Boyata being forced off. They never seemed to get into the game after those incidents, with Killie the better side in the first-half.
The Bhoys had a spell of pressure in the second-half, but it wasn’t a surprise to see Youssouf Mulumbu, the best player on the park, score the only goal of the game.
The Hoops will need to pick themselves up now for a busy schedule which includes both Scottish Cup and Europa League matches in quick succession.
