Former Tottenham hero features in top five rivals who gave Spurs nightmares

5.  Andy Cole

Games v Tottenham: 12 – Goals: 10 – Assists: 0

Kicking off the list is a man who the Tottenham faithful will remember more fondly for his time playing in the white shirt of Spurs, rather than for the opposition.

His 123 appearances saw him score 34 goals for the club, and will always be a cult hero in the Lilywhite half of north London.

However, he has a fine record against his old side, having only netted more goals against Everton than he did against Tottenham.

He scored three goals for QPR, five for Newcastle, one for West Ham and another for Leicester when he came up against the side he is remembered starring for – with his highlight undoubtedly a brace in the 7-1 thrashing the Magpies handed out back in 1996.

He obviously impressed enough to get Tottenham to sign him, for it was his last appearance against them before joining, and he is likely to have made up  to fans for the role he played in the thrashing with his performances at the club.
