Former Tottenham hero features in top five rivals who gave Spurs nightmares
3. Wayne Rooney
Games v Tottenham: 22 – Goals: 11- Assists: 3
When Wayne Rooney broke onto the scene for Everton, his debut just happened to come against Tottenham – and he has tormented the Lilywhites all through his career.
Spurs might be some way down the list of the clubs he has scored the most goals against but that just goes to show how prolific he was in his pomp, netting against any and all who stood in his way.
However, he is yet to score for Everton against Tottenham, with every one of his 11 strikes coming in the red of Manchester United.
His top performance came back in 2009, when he ran the show on the way to a 5-2 victory for United, scoring twice and chipping in with a further two assists.
Spurs fans will be hoping his drought with the Toffees continues.
