Fornals tipped to replace forward v Arsenal after early West Ham team news – pundit
Paul Robinson has tipped West Ham manager David Moyes to reinstate Pablo Fornals into the starting XI for the trip to Arsenal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Leeds goalkeeper heaped praise on Moyes for his “incredible” squad rotation so far this season.
Fornals, 25, has been named on the bench for West Ham’s last two Premier League fixtures, having started every league game of the season up to that point.
The Hammers drew 0-0 at Burnley on Sunday and will be targeting a return to winning ways at the Emirates.
As quoted by Football.London (14 December) ahead of Wednesday’s fixture, Moyes revealed “it’s not easy” to keep everyone fit during a run of three games in six days.
When asked by Football Insider what personnel changes he expected, Robinson said: “I think Fornals will come back in.
“He’s a very underrated player.
“Up to this point, Moyes has rotated his squad incredibly well this year. They have had a lot to cope with if you consider the Europa League as well.
“Players will be brought in and out over the festive period. I think Fornals has been on the bench for the last two games because of rotation more than anything else.
“Moyes would have expected to win away at Burnley though. That’s one of the reasons why he’s likely make a change for the Arsenal game.”

Fornals has been one of West Ham’s most consistent performers this season.
He’s contributed four goals and three assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
