‘Fraser Forster to retire after Tottenham errors’ – Fans horrified
Tottenham fans have taken to social media to call out Fraser Forster after his performance and have called for the hierarchy to “sign another keeper” in January.
The Lilywhites advanced to the last four of the Carabao Cup after beating Man United in the quarter-finals.
Ange Postecoglou’s side seemed to be cruising, going three goals up, but the English goalkeeper made two blunders trying to play out the back.
He passed the ball straight to Bruno Fernandes, who squared it to Joshua Zirkzee to reduce the lead to 3-1.
Minutes later, Yves Bissouma passed the ball to him, but he took too long to react, allowing Amad Diallo to close him down and cut the deficit further to 3-2.

It turned into a nervous game that Spurs should have closed out comfortably. But if you know Postecoglou, you wouldn’t expect the game to end 3-0.
The Australian recently described being a manager as the “hardest job in the world” [The Telegraph]. Despite criticism for his style of play, which has left the team in 11th place, the hierarchy seems committed to backing him in January.
Reports suggest Spurs are targeting a goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer window. While Guglielmo Vicario is only sidelined with an injury, Forster’s performance has raised questions, and any new signing could potentially replace him.
Fans voiced their frustrations with his display, with some suggesting the 36-year-old should “retire in the morning” while others claimed this is why they “can’t depend on him”.
Another fan labelled him a “walking mistake” warning that “every team will target him”. With Liverpool looming this weekend, Spurs will hope that isn’t the case.
