Sources: Fulham submit Eric Bailly bid after West Ham offer tabled

Fulham have submitted an offer for Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League new boys are desperate to sign proven centre-back and have tabled offers for four players, including Bailly, West Ham’s Issa Diop and Chelsea’s Malang Sarr.

Bailly barely played for Man United last season and is now even lower down the pecking order following the arrival of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.

Fulham face a fight to convince the 28-year-old to move to Craven Cottage with Sevilla and Roma also vying for his signature.

Bailly signed a new deal in April last year that commits him to the club until the close of the 2023-24 campaign.

He has made 113 appearances in his six years at Old Trafford after he joined from Villareal in 2016.

The Ivorian has struggled with various injuries in that time, including a knee injury that sidelined him for 32 matches in 2018-19.

He played only seven times in total last term, including just three Premier League starts.

That was despite the fact that United had their worst ever top-flight season in terms of goals conceded, letting in 57 in total.

Fulham have already completed one signing from Man United this summer in the form of 26-year-old playmaker Andreas Pereira, who completed an £8.5m move last month (11 July).

Defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha and right-back Kevin Mbabu have also signed permanently, while winger Manor Solomon has joined on loan.
