Garnacho and Nkunku Chelsea swap: Man United fans explode at ‘crazy’ update
Man United fans have reacted online following reports of a potential swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho and Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku.
Football Insider recently revealed that Chelsea are making progress in their pursuit of the young Argentine star this January transfer window.
Adding to the speculation, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that discussions about a swap deal between Garnacho and Nkunku have taken place.
He also said that while “no final decision” has been made, the idea of a transfer involving the two players has been floated.
Man United fans, however, are far from thrilled by the prospect. Many took to social media to criticise the notion of parting ways with one of their brightest young talents for Nkunku, who has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea since his move from RB Leipzig.

The Red Devils are under pressure to sell due to profit and sustainability issues, and if they sell someone from the academy, it would raise pure profit on a transfer sum.
Garnacho has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim after he was controversially dropped from the squad against Man City in December, fuelling exit rumours.
Former chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Man United would be open to cashing in on him if a suitable offer arrived.
The Argentine has started just one of his last six Premier League games, which is in stark contrast to his form before the City match, where he was named in the starting XI for 10 consecutive games.

Despite this, Garnacho has had a decent season, contributing eight goals and five assists in all competitions.
Nkunku, on the other hand, has also fallen out of favour at Chelsea and could push to leave Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca has preferred other options, such as Nicolas Jackson, and with Nkunku’s history of injuries—missing 48 games last season—there’s more trust in alternative choices.
United fans have shown their discontent with the potential deal, with one supporter calling it a “disgraceful” idea, and another “beyond crazy”. Another criticised the Frenchman, stating he’s “too expensive, too injury-prone, and regressed” making him a risky acquisition.
In other news, Man United are plotting a move to sign this striker in the January transfer window.
