Monk sends Twitter message to Leeds fans ahead of Brentford clash

Garry Monk has Tweeted out a message accompanied by a picture showing himself and coaches Pep Clotet and James Beattie preparing for Leeds’ clash against Brentford on Saturday.

The Yorkshire giants will have finished setting up for the Elland Road fixture on Friday afternoon with Leeds firmly in the hunt for the Premier League.

Monk’s outfit are currently occupying sixth place in England’s second tier and they will be keen to remain in their high standing as they look to end their 12-year wait for top flight football.

A win for the club could see them move as high as third, but a defeat could drop them down to 10th.

With much on the line for the club, manager Monk gave an update to Leeds supporters on his personal Twitter account on Friday ahead of the crucial clash.

Leeds are heading into the match off the back of a key midweek victory against third placed Reading.

Meanwhile, Brentford are also in good form themselves with two wins from their last two matches against Bristol City and Burton respectively.

The Championship pair could not be separated from their two league fixtures last campaign, playing out two 1-1 draws and both will now be aiming for all three points on Saturday.

In other Leeds news, Brentford boss Dean Smith has given his verdict on the Whites squad ahead of the clash.
