Gary Lineker names the one Arsenal player who could stop them winning the title
Arsenal sit top of the Premier League but have been told by Gary Lineker that one thing must change if they want to win the title.
The Gunners are three points clear of Manchester City in second and four points ahead of last season’s champions Liverpool.
On Saturday (18 October) evening, Arsenal beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage in another impressive display.
Leandro Trossard’s second-half strike was the only goal of the game, with the Gunners keeping their fifth clean sheet of the campaign to secure all three points.

Viktor Gyokeres has a ‘big spell’ coming up
Arsenal’s signing of Viktor Gyokeres over the summer was met with delight by Gunners fans, who felt that their side finally had the striker they had been crying out for.
However, the 27-year-old hasn’t had the start he would’ve liked in North London, only scoring three times so far this season.
The Swedish international has now failed to find the net in his last seven appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, former Tottenham and England striker Gary Lineker insisted that Arsenal would not win the league if Gyokeres doesn’t start scoring.
He said: “He (Gyokeres) is going through a bit of a bad spell. Seven games in all competitions without a goal. I think for Arsenal to really realise their ambitions, he’s going to have to start scoring a lot of goals. I think it’s a big spell coming up for him over the next few games.”
Gyokeres is helping Arsenal despite goal drought
Ex-Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer agreed with Lineker about Gyokeres’ lack of goal threat, mentioning how the centre-forward had to improve his numbers.

However, Shearer highlighted the fact that the former Sporting Lisbon man is creating more space for his Arsenal teammates by running in behind, adding a different dimension to the attack.
He said: “He’s going to have to score more goals definitely, but one of his positives for the Arsenal team is that he runs in behind, which then helps create space for others to exploit.
“There’s no doubt he’s going to have to improve his numbers with the goals, but he has added something different to the team.”
