Gary Neville predicts Chelsea v Arsenal
By Dominic Toner
Gary Neville expects Arsenal to suffer a defeat against title rivals Chelsea on Saturday.
The Gunners travel to Stamford Bridge for a crucial match against their London neighbours in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently nine points adrift of the league leaders and can’t afford for them to open up a 12-point gap if they have any realistic ambitions of winning the title this season.
The north London club recorded a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Chelsea in the first meeting this campaign, but Antonio Conte’s side have climbed to the top of the table since a switch to a 3-4-3 formation during that defeat.
Neville was asked on Twitter whether he thinks Arsenal can get a result at Stamford Bridge, but responded in emphatic fashion to the question.
“Hope so to get the title alive but NO!” Neville said, as quoted by his personal Twitter account.
The Gunners will be low on confidence going into Saturday’s clash after a shock mid-week loss to mid-table side Watford.
Wenger’s team were beaten 2-1 at the Emirates and are in risk of missing out on the top four spots.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have gone from strength to strength this season and are set to pose Arsenal with some real threats.
