Gary Neville: This is what is incredible about the Arsenal manager, fans will be shocked

Gary Neville has stated that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has “the most incredible philosophy”.

The Gunners were beaten by Watford in midweek which was followed by a 3-1 loss at Stamford Bridge against league leaders Chelsea.

As a result, they have now fallen further away from the Premier League title race and look set to extend their 13-year title drought.

That is why the Gunners supporters will be shocked by Neville’s comments because of the lack of silverware the Frenchman has won in the last decade.

Nonetheless, former Manchester United defender Neville defended Wenger whilst comparing him to his fellow managers.

“We all laud Jurgen Klopp, Antonio Conte, Guardiola for their philosophies, ‘oh, they brilliant’. Arsene Wenger has got the most incredible philosophy over these last 15 years,” Neville told Sky Sports.

Since the famous ‘Invincibles’ team of 2003/04, Arsenal have failed to lift another English league title.

During that time, they have won two FA Cups, both of which were back-to-back, when they beat Hull City and Aston Villa in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Furthermore, during his time as boss at the north London club, they have not lifted a European Cup, losing to Barcelona in the final in 2005.

At this moment in time, Wenger’s side are in fourth place on 47 points from their 24 games, 12 points behind their London rivals Chelsea.

The Gunners are also two points ahead of sixth-placed Manchester United as they could fall out of the top four if results go against them during the next round of league matches.
