‘Get him the hell out of our club’ – Rangers fans rage after what one player did vs Kilmarnock

Rangers fans were furious with the performance of Nasser Djiga in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

Djiga has been extremely poor since signing for Rangers on loan from Wolves, with the defender struggling to adapt to the Scottish Premiership.

Bojan Miovski scored a brace for the Gers on Saturday, with the returning Mikey Moore getting the other goal off the bench.

Rangers fans have criticised Djiga’s performances on regular occasion, but head coach Danny Rohl is without obvious alternative options.

John Souttar and Derek Cornelius are injured for Rangers, with both players expected to return in the New Year.

Rangers fans slam ‘awful’ Nasser Djiga

Djiga would end the victory over Kilmarnock having completed more passes than any other player on the pitch.

The defender’s technical ability is not often in question, but it is his defensive intelligence that breeds uncertainty throughout the Rangers backline.

The Gers did not have to pay for it on this occasion, but the concern surrounding the young defender is clear.

One user on social media was scathing in his opinion of Djiga, and said: “Djiga’s tracking back for the clearance is the worst. Get him the hell out of our club.”

Another said the Burkina Faso international’s defending was “amateur hour“, while one described the defender as “awful“.

Sharing an opinion of several Rangers fans, one Ger asked the club to “send Djiga back in January“.

Will Clinton Nsiala be given a chance?

Rohl does have one alternative option, who has sat on the bench unused for the last four Scottish Premiership games.

Clinton Nsiala, 21, is yet to make a single appearance for Rangers this season, despite breaking through and featuring prominently towards the end of last season.

The French defender is, understandably, raw, but does hold more experience of the league than his competitors.

So far, however, Rohl has shown a hesitancy to hand Nsiala even a single minute. How long the German can justify that decision remains to be seen.
