Gibbs-White and Abraham react to Hudson-Odoi’s message amid Nottingham Forest whispers
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White both played crucial roles in Nottingham Forest’s successful 2024–25 campaign.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s Reds were the Premier League’s surprise package last season as they rose from relegation contenders to the Champions League places, and eventually finished seventh in the table.
Forest may have fallen away from a strong position of third in the decisive weeks of the campaign, but still qualified for European competition and will participate in the UEFA Conference League next season.
Evangelos Marinakis is set to spend big to ensure that Forest can compete on multiple fronts next term, but Hudson-Odoi and Gibbs-White are two of several players with uncertain futures at the City Ground.

Gibbs-White responds to Hudson-Odoi away from City Ground
The Reds’ failure to reach the Champions League after their late-season slump will have disappointed Marinakis, who will now have to cut his cloth accordingly with Forest missing out on a major windfall.
Player sales may be needed to raise funds for a crucial transfer window and of all the players linked with a move away from the City Ground, Gibbs-White has attracted by far the most attention this summer.
Hudson-Odoi‘s future will also be up in the air until he pens the new contract Forest have planned to offer him since April, but it remains to be seen if Gibbs-White will be staying put in the East Midlands.
Gibbs-White was one of several Forest stars to like Hudson-Odoi’s Instagram post on 15 June alongside Neco Williams, while his former Chelsea team-mate Tammy Abraham commented with a ‘fire’ emoji.
Nottingham Forest given Gibbs-White transfer boost
Interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City had left Gibbs-White as one of England’s most in-demand players, and Football Insider revealed last month that Forest’s number 10 was “flattered” by these links.
However, after Man City opted to bolster their midfield with Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki instead, Football Insider revealed that Gibbs-White’s valuation of £70million has been enough for Forest to ward off this interest.
It remains to be seen if Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi will line up alongside each other next season, but with that hefty price tag putting Forest in a position of strength, any club keen on the 25-year-old may have to break the bank.
