Glen Kamara backed for Rangers transformation after what expert has heard
Alan Hutton has claimed Michael Beale can convince Glen Kamara to stay at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender insisted Beale will give Kamara an opportunity to prove himself in the starting XI but if he doesn’t play regularly he will leave.
According to Italian outlet Tutto Salernitana (3 September), the 27-year-old has submitted a transfer request to the Light Blues in an effort to force his way out in January.
The midfielder is said to be in the sights of Serie A sides Salernitana and Monza in the event that he leaves Glasgow.
The Finland international’s current contract runs until 2025.
Kamara has struggled for game time this season having made just seven Premiership appearances for the Light Blues this season.
When asked if Beale could convince Kamara to stay at Ibrox, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think he could.
“He has shown under Steven Gerrard and Mick Beale last time that he was a key component of the team. I know it has not gone well for him recently, he has been in and out the team. He has not been the same player.

“I think Beale can get the best out of him. He spoke really highly of him in interviews that he has done. I think the proof is in the pudding.
“If he plays then he will want to stay but if that does not materialise he will want to leave. I think the ball is in Kamara’s court. Beale will give him an opportunity and if he takes it I am sure he can play to that high level that we have seen in the past.“
