Hakim Ziyech “must be devastated’ amid second collapsed Chelsea transfer – pundit

Hakim Ziyech’s issues to secure a move away from Chelsea must be difficult on the player.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has claimed that the Moroccan’s collapsed move to Saudi Arabia will be hard on the player.

According to 90min, The Morocco international was set to join the Saudi Pro League side on a lucrative contract and become a teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, a deal hung in the balance as a medical unearthed that Ziyech had a knee problem with Al Nassr trying to renegotiate his contract as a result but could not come to an agreement.

Ziyech also failed a medical for the same knee issue when he was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain in a loan move on deadline day in last January.

After multiple medical issues, Hutton believes that Ziyech must sort out the situation as it can impact his career.

“Ziyech must be devastated,” He told Football Insider.

“if there was a knee problem showing in January, and the same issues is still appearing now, then It is devastating.

“I would identify if the knee issues is fixable first, and foremost and would look to get it sorted and hopefully it isn’t serious.

“You’re not in a strong position to sign a bumper new contract if there is an injury present.

“But once the issue was seen, he should have looked to sorted in January.”
