Hakim Ziyech in ‘absolute nightmare’ at Chelsea as new details emerge – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed it will be a “nightmare” for Hakim Ziyech to focus on Chelsea after his deadline day move collapsed.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa couldn’t understand how the move fell through because of something as basic as paperwork.

The 29-year-old was all set for a deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

The winger was set to complete his move on the final day of the transfer window but the London club submitted the necessary paperwork too late and Ziyech returned to London.

As quoted by Sky Sports (2 February), Graham Potter insisted the Morocco international will be an important member of the squad until the end of the season.

Hutton insisted it will be difficult for Ziyech to refocus.

It will be an absolute nightmare,” he told Football Insider.

For it to happen so late in the day, everything in his body would be saying that he is leaving for what is a top club to play with some of the best players in the world.

To have that and you think it is going to happen then it is just pulled away from you because of paperwork. In this day and age, with some of the top people at these clubs, how does that happen? It should not happen.

It is very strange. So for him to now get his mind back on Chelsea and help them, it will be difficult. But it is done now, he has to put it to one side and get on with it and see what happens in the summer.

In other news, Chelsea have been branded an ‘utter mess’ after ’embarrassing’ latest – ‘Graham Potter has no control’, says pundit.
