Yet another Celtic midfield injury blow as 26-yr-old ruled out until March – confirmed

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic could be without the skills of Tom Rogic until March as the Australian struggles with a knee injury,
The mercurial attacking midfielder, who scored the winning goal in last season’s Scottish Cup final which clinched Celtic’s first domestic treble since 2001, hasn’t played for the Hoops since the 1-0 loss to Anderlecht in the Champions League group stages in December.
And now he is set to spend longer on the sidelines, as confirmed by his manager.
“Rogic could be six to eight weeks” Rodgers said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
The 26-year-old has still managed to score four goals this season, including the opener in the 2-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox in September.
Rogic joins a long injury list at the Scottish champions, which includes new arrival Marvin Compper, who is out for a month with a calf injury.
The Aussie is the latest midfielder to have an injury blow, with Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts and Jonny Hayes out, with the latter injured until the summer.
The injury crisis comes at a bad time for the Hoops as they return from their winter break in Dubai and go into a very busy schedule.
The Bhoys play Brechin on Saturday as they begin the defence of the Scottish Cup and looking ahead to next month they have the last 32 Europa League clash with Zenit to contend with.
