Hamza Igamane reacts to emotional message as Rangers exit confirmed
Hamza Igamane has reacted to an emotional message online after a departure was recently confirmed by Rangers ahead of the new campaign.
Rangers endured a campaign without silverware last term, but dynamic centre-forward Igamane was a shining light in a tough season for all at Ibrox.
The 22-year-old joined the Gers from AS FAR for just £1.7million [Daily Record] last summer, but his consistently impressive performances saw him notch 16 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions after recovering from injury.
Football Insider revealed in April that Rangers could be forced to sell Igamane if a big money offer comes in this summer, and the Moroccan frontman was recently linked with West Ham, Everton and Brentford.
Former scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Igamane is set to join Ligue 1 outfit Lille, despite the fact that new boss Russell Martin is keen to build his side around him and Nico Raskin, and he has now reacted to a heartfelt message of thanks from a Gers player.

Robin Propper issues Rangers exit message
Rangers moved to let go of the likes of Leon Balogun, Ianis Hagi and Tom Lawrence upon the expiry of their contracts in June, and they have now confirmed their first departure of the summer for a transfer fee.
The Gers announced Dutch defender Robin Propper’s exit on Instagram on Saturday (26 July), saying: “We can today confirm the departure of Robin Pröpper to FC Twente for an undisclosed fee. Everyone at Rangers thanks Robin for his contribution in his time at the club and wishes him well for the future.”
31-year-old Propper has moved back to Twente for £1.5m [The Sun], and he took to the same social media site on Sunday (27 July) to write his own emotional message to Rangers supporters, saying: “What a privilege it has been to play for a club with such rich history. It was an absolute honour to be a part of Rangers FC. Even though it might not have lasted for as long as I hoped for, I enjoyed every minute in Glasgow and wore the royal blue shirt with pride. Thank you for everything and all the best in the future.”
His post was liked by Igamane, who could soon follow him out of the Ibrox exit door, while Danilo Pereira wrote: “All the best propers, some guy,” Ross McCausland replied: “All the best mate,” and Nico Raskin commented red heart and praying hands emojis.
Igamane sale could help Rangers back Martin
Football Insider verdict
Former Southampton boss Martin is now at the helm for Rangers, and the club will want to give him to best chance of success next season, so potentially securing a major profit on Igamane could partly fund the rest of their transfer window as he looks to bolster other positions in his squad.
Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises officially took charge of the club in May, and Martin is planning a squad overhaul with Cyriel Dessers also set to depart Ibrox, as revealed to Football Insider by former scout Brown.
Football Insider revealed on 2 June that Rangers’ new owners are expected to make big transfer funds available to Martin, and with so many teams in the race to sign Igamane the prospect of a bidding war is strong, with the fee potentially set to be pushed up even higher.

They are likely to want to sanction at least one big sale to further fund their business, and Ibrox News exclusively revealed on Wednesday (23 July) that Feyenoord are interested in Igamane, but Lille are struggling to agree terms with the Rangers striker with Everton still plotting a move and Udinese now also interested.
The Moroccan international is bound to fetch a healthy profit if he is sold, and it would certainly represent great business for the Gers if he was sold on for a sizeable fee just a year after joining the club.
