Harry Kane could pull contract U-turn after confirmed Tottenham news – pundit
Noel Whelan has suggested news of fresh investment could convince Harry Kane to sign a new and improved contract at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds striker suggested a lack of viable alternatives, coupled with the club’s ambitious plans, may have turned the 28-year-old’s head to stay.
The Evening Standard (26 May) claim Kane is open to signing a new contract at Spurs after rejecting an extension offer last summer.

The striker has two years left on his current terms and fresh talks over a new deal are reportedly yet to take place.
Spurs announced on Tuesday (23 May) a £150million cash injection into the club’s coffers via a share issue.
Whelan suggested Kane would be happy to stay after missing out on a move to Manchester City last summer.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Man City have filled that gap of a centre-forward. Kane’s got to decide where that leaves him to go.
“I don’t think it’s going to be Chelsea, I don’t think it’s going to be Manchester United. Right now, with the way things have gone for Tottenham this year, with the new manager being put in place and the way they finished the season, they’re back in the Champions League.
“It might be a case that he does think about a new contract there. The possibility that they’re going to strengthen with that £150million will push Tottenham that little bit closer to Man City and Liverpool.
“I don’t think they will beat them, obviously.
“But it will give them the opportunity to be consistently up there fighting.”
