Harry Kane delivers Twitter verdict after Tottenham win against Middlesbrough

By Harvey Byrne

Harry Kane has shared that he believes his Tottenham team deserved their victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Spurs ran out 1-0 victors against the north east side after Kane converted from the spot with 58 minutes on the clock.

Aitor Karanka’s side seemed to be fully focused on their defensive duties as they finished the match without a single shot on target to Tottenham’s five.

It was a hard fought victory for Spurs, but Kane hailed the “great team performance” on his personal Twitter account after the match.

Kane’s goal on Saturday marked his 16th in all competitions from 22 matches.

He has been pivotal to Tottenham as they sit in second place this campaign with their only poor form this season coming when he was out with an ankle injury.

The England international has proven to all doubters that he has what it takes to score in the Premier League on a consistent level with 63 strikes from 105 matches in the league.

He will now be keen to help Spurs go one step further and win their first ever Premier League title with their last league win coming in 1961.

However, they face a very difficult hurdle in Chelsea, who are currently nine points clear at the top.
