Harry Winks could sign for Bournemouth after Tottenham source’s £20m reveal – expert

Harry Winks could join Bournemouth this summer but Tottenham will struggle to find a club willing to pay £20million.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

As revealed by Football Insider on Monday (30 May), Tottenham have told Winks, 26, he is free to find a new club this summer.

Burnley manager Scott Parker

A recruitment source told this site that Tottenham have informed the midfielder and his representatives that they will listen to offers for him this summer and are looking for a £20million fee.

Wenham claims newly-promoted Bournemouth could be the perfect place for Winks to go.

“Homegrown, English, Premier League proven, £12million for me,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“£15million at the most. I look at Bournemouth and how Scotty Parker used to play, maybe he could go there.

“That’s a club that needs Premier League experience after their promotion. I can Bournemouth coming in for him.

“You look at the promoted sides and I think he would be a great addition to one of them.

“Winks and Parker are quite similar players in terms of style so I can see that happening.”

Tottenham

The midfielder has only ever played for Spurs, joining the club’s academy in 2002 and making his senior debut in November 2014.

He has gone on to make 203 appearances for the club but he is now unlikely to make any more.
