‘Harvey Elliott backed to complete Tottenham switch amid Brighton dilemma’
Tottenham have been told to sign Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott as the 22-year-old looks for a move this summer.
Elliott made 28 appearances for the Reds last season and wants to leave Anfield in search of more playing time.
He started his career at Fulham before earning a move to Liverpool in 2019 for an undisclosed fee.
Currently on international duty with England U21s, Elliott has impressed at the Euros and scored the winning goal against the Dutch to send the Three Lions into the final of the tournament.
England will play Germany for a chance to defend their title before Elliott can focus on assessing his options ahead of next season.

Former Spurs midfielder backs Elliott to make move
Speaking on talkSPORT, pundit Jason Cundy believes Elliott must leave Liverpool this summer, believing options won’t be limited for him and that Brighton could be the ideal destination.
Cundy said: “Brighton, that link has to be serious the way Brighton play he fits that model, but it’s wages and the fact that he’s not going to come cheap they might have a problem with that, he certainly fits into the style of play.”
It was exclusively revealed by Football Insider that Brighton are currently working on a deal at around £40million.
However, fellow pundit Jamie O’Hara went further than Cundy and thinks Elliott could star for Tottenham: “I would have him at Tottenham.
“He plays on the right, he can compete with Brennan Johnson, Kulusevski is a similar player, but Harvey Elliott has got something about him, he can play as a 10, he can play different areas, he can play midfield.”

Elliott has pick of Premier League clubs
Thomas Frank does want a midfielder and winger this summer, with speculation linking Eberechi Eze with a move to North London.
Frank wanted Bryan Mbuemo from his former club Brentford, but Manchester United look like they have beaten him to his signature.
Antoine Semenyo is also on Spurs’ radar, but Bournemouth are holding firm as they look to keep the winger at the club.
Elliott could be a cheaper alternative to both of those players, but Frank needs to sort out the futures of Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Manor Solomon.

As he is currently showing at the Euros, Elliott has the ability to glide past players, play in-between the lines and contribute goals.
Spurs definitely do need that creativity in their team, but Brighton could be a better fit for Elliott.
Their possession based model, and progressive type of football is similar to that Elliott will want to play and the club have history of bringing through young players and selling them on for a big profit.
As Brighton have already tabled a bid, Spurs would have to move fast if they want to beat the Seagulls to the signing.
