Harvey Elliott sends emotional message to Tyler Morton as Liverpool double-exit looms
Harvey Elliott has sent an emotional reply to teammate Tyler Morton as both players prepare to leave Liverpool this summer.
Elliott struggled to make an impact last term during the Reds’ Premier League title charge, and he could be set to leave the club soon with numerous clubs vying to land his services.
Football Insider recently revealed that Elliott is being targeted by former club Fulham this summer, while sources have told Football Insider that Brighton, too, are “confident” of striking a deal for the 22-year-old Reds star.
Former scout Mick Brown also told Football Insider on 15 July that Newcastle and Tottenham have both joined the race to sign Elliott this summer, so a departure certainly seems likely with less than a month until the new Premier League campaign starts.
While Elliott has stayed put at Liverpool up to now, he has moved to send a heartfelt message online in the face of widespread exit links.

Elliott responds emotionally to Morton update
Elliott is not the only Liverpool youngster who could be on the move, with club and international teammate Morton being closely tracked by Portuguese side Braga, while he is also of interest to Ajax, West Ham and Club Brugge [The Times].
The pair have travelled on the Reds’ pre-season tour of Asia, however, and Morton took to Instagram on Thursday (24 July) to share some pictures of him in training overseas, to which Elliott replied saying: “My brother” with a red heart emoji.
Morton’s post was also reacted to by teammate Conor Bradley, who replied with a red heart emoji, while Middlesbrough star Hayden Hackney added: “Mateeee” and Sammie Szmodics left three red heart emojis in the replies.
Elliott should leave Liverpool to join another Premier League club
Football Insider verdict
Football Insider revealed in April that Elliott’s priority is to remain at Liverpool ahead of next season, but he has been frustrated with his lack of action at the club, so it certainly seems likely that he leaves soon to further his own career as the Reds spend big in the summer window.
To add to the aforementioned interested sides, Football Insider recently reported that Wolves are “keen” on a move for Elliott this summer, and it is believed a bid of £40million would prise him from the Merseyside outfit.

He is clearly a player in demand, and while his time at Liverpool has been one of huge success so far in terms of trophies, he has struggled to play a major role in many of their six triumphs since he joined the club back in 2019 from Fulham.
He featured just 28 times in all competitions last season as Slot chose to stick by his more senior players, and his minutes seem unlikely to increase much further in the new campaign, so a move away would surely benefit all parties as he looks to progress in the years to come.
