Harvey Elliott shares ‘incredible’ Liverpool message
Liverpool’s transfer plan this summer includes selling Harvey Elliott for big money after his six seasons at Anfield.
Elliott‘s 28 appearances in all competitions last season amounted to just 822 minutes in total, with just six starts across the board despite an impressive return of five goals and two assists in Arne Slot‘s side.
The 22-year-old’s stock has risen even further this summer after his exploits at the Under-21 European Championships, which saw him win Player of the Tournament with five goals as England won the title.
Slot has splashed out almost £300million in transfer fees so far this summer with over a third of that going on a club-record move for Florian Wirtz, but Liverpool are yet to strengthen in central midfield.

Liverpool reflect on Elliott milestone in ‘incredible’ development
Wirtz’s arrival puts paid to Elliott’s chances of further game-time in attack next season, and his displays for England have led some Liverpool fans to suggest that Elliott is deserving of a £70m transfer fee.
Football Insider revealed on 2 July that Liverpool would be open to accepting a more modest £40m fee for Elliott this summer, as Premier League clubs line up with potential offers for the Reds midfielder.
Elliott has been making waves for a long time since his switch from Fulham to Anfield back in 2019, and Liverpool posted on their Instagram page (28 July) to reflect on the six-year anniversary of his move.
The midfielder shared Liverpool‘s post on his own story, and called his time at Anfield; “An incredible six years!”

Elliott central to Liverpool transfer plan as Isak bid looms
Football Insider Verdict
Brighton still lead the way to sign Elliott from Liverpool this summer despite their initial interest in a £40m move cooling, but Slot certainly won’t stand in the Seagulls’ way if they do launch an approach for him.
Liverpool see Elliott as one of three players they can sell in order to fund another club-record move for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, and the dominoes are already starting to fall in the Reds’ grand plan.
Luis Diaz is on the brink of a £65m move to Bayern Munich which will open the door to a move for Isak worth between £130–150m, and Elliott’s own exit looks set to prove decisive as Liverpool look to flex their financial muscles once more.
