‘Harvey Elliott’s price rockets by £20m’ as new Liverpool transfer details emerge
Liverpool have doubled their valuation of midfielder Harvey Elliott who looks set to depart Anfield this summer.
The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order on Merseyside and is expected to move on in an attempt to kickstart his career.
On Wednesday, Football Insider exclusively revealed that both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are interested in adding Elliott to their ranks.
The Englishman is also attracting attention from Premier League clubs, with Brighton, Brentford, and Fulham all in the race for his signature.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that buying clubs will now be forced to fork out more money to lure the youngster away from Liverpool.

Brighton and Fulham face Elliott warning
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Elliott’s recent performances on the international stage have doubled his valuation from £20million to £40m.
Last month, the Liverpool ace won the Under-21 European Championships with England and also picked up the Player of the Tournament award.
However, Wyness warned the potential buying clubs that they must be wary of spending big money on Elliott after just one impressive tournament.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’ve seen things go from £20m to all of a sudden £40m valuations again. Elliott has done himself no harm at all and quite rightly.
“Lee Carsley did a great job. I know Lee and he played for me when I was at Everton. He’s a great character, deserves all the success he’s had, and he really has nurtured that under-21 squad well. He’s managed them as a group, as a unit, extremely well, and they’re seeing the benefit of that themselves now.
“Elliott’s valuation is going up, and he’s being talked about as a real asset, and that’s because of the Under-21’s performance, so Lee has a lot to be thanked for.
“The danger for clubs always is buying players after tournament performances; we’ve seen it in World Cups before. It’s a lesson that many clubs have lived to regret, and it’s something I was always wary of as well.
“So with that caveat, I think the valuation will have gone up and Liverpool would still want to sell him and they’ll be rubbing their hands off the back of the tournament, thinking they can get more money for him.”

Liverpool want new Konate deal
Meanwhile, Liverpool have not yet given up on persuading Ibrahima Konate to sign a new deal, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds are concerned about the prospect of losing the 26-year-old on a free transfer in 2026, when his contract at Anfield is due to expire.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (30 June) that Liverpool may be forced to accept offers of between £40-50million for Konate if he does not sign a new deal.
Arne Slot’s side will ramp up talks further in the coming weeks with a final decision due before the September transfer deadline.
