‘He’s brilliant’ – Pundit wowed by one Leeds player he saw in win over Everton
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been tipped to be more prolific than one of his new Leeds United teammates this season.
Calvert-Lewin joined Leeds on a free transfer last week after penning a three-year deal at Elland Road.
It comes after the 28-year-old left Everton following the expiration of his contract on 30 June.
Manchester United were considering signing Calvert-Lewin earlier this summer, while Newcastle United had also been linked with the striker.
However, the 11-cap England international has now linked up with Leeds as he looks to help them cement their place in the Premier League.

Calvert-Lewin to blow Patrick Bamford out the water
This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa and Aberdeen CEO.
Calvert-Lewin, who registered 71 goals and 22 assists in 273 appearances for Everton, has faced various injury problems in recent years.
The striker wasn’t named in Daniel Farke’s squad for their opening-day victory over Everton on Monday (18 August), but he could make his debut against Arsenal on Saturday (23 August).
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness said: “I think he’s a very high-quality player.
“Now, when I watched Leeds on Monday, I thought Tanaka on the wing was brilliant.
“I think if you’ve got him and Dan James and you’ve got Calvert-Lewin in the middle and they’re both supplying through balls for him or crosses for him, I think that’s going to be right up his street, so I think he’s going to help Leeds a lot.
“I’d tip him to be more prolific than Bamford in his heyday for Leeds, and I think Dominic will do well for Leeds.
“It’s a shame he couldn’t have stayed at Everton from my point of view, but for whatever reason he’s gone on.
“But I think this is a good start for him and I think he will be a key factor in keeping Leeds up.
“I think he will stay fit and as I say, I think the formation that Farke is starting at Leeds, where he played a bit wider on Monday, will suit Calvert-Lewin down to the ground.
“So yes, I think it’s a positive for Leeds.”

Illan Meslier to quit Leeds within days
In terms of a potential exit, recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider Illan Meslier is expected to leave Leeds and a deal could happen within days.
Farke has given the go-ahead for the goalkeeper’s sale following the arrival of Lucas Perri, and there is now a growing feeling that a new offer will be accepted.
Perri kept a clean sheet in Leeds’ 1-0 victory over Everton on Monday.
