'He's worth £90m...in the top 3 players in PL'- Exclusive: Bruce dazzled by Spurs chase

Alex Bruce has claimed that reported Tottenham Hotspur target Jack Grealish is worth a lot more than £50million.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hull City defender suggested that the 24-year-old has been one of the top three players in the Premier League this season, and is worth anywhere up to £90 million.

Football Insider has learned that Tottenham are still keeping tabs on Grealish’s situation after their rejected bid of two summers ago, and the Daily Star claim they have set aside around £50million to get a deal wrapped up.

But Bruce believes he is worth almost double that amount.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “I think he’s worth £80-90 million, I have to be honest.

“I think he’s a top, top player. Arguably, he’s been one of the shining lights, the outstanding performers in the Premier League this season.

“I personally would put him in the top three performers in the Premier League, I think he’s been outstanding considering he’s been playing in a team that’s been struggling. I really think that highly of him.

“He’s matured into an excellent player. He’s improving year on year.

“Whatever price tag a club pays, it’s going to be a top, top fee because he’s a top, top player.

“I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t join one of the top four. I think he’d be a great acquisition for anybody, and I think he’d slot into most teams in the country.”

Grealish has been in fine form for his boyhood club this season, hitting nine goals and eight assists in all competitions so far.

As revealed by Football Insider, Spurs are not the only club interested in acquiring his services this summer, however, with Everton also keen on snapping him up.
