‘Hopefully he will get into the first team’ – Manager speaks highly of Leeds 19-year-old after pre-season clash

Tadcaster Albion boss Michael Morton has spoken highly of Leeds’ young ace Romario Vieira after Tuesday’s pre-season friendly clash against the Yorkshire giants’ Under-23s team.
Vieira, the twin brother of emerging Leeds midfield star Ronaldo Vieria was formerly part of the Tadcaster Albion academy and he returned to his old stomping ground on Tuesday for a pre-season match at the i2i Stadium.
It is thought that Leeds brought a strong youth team with them, but they were held to a 1-1 draw against the non-league side.
The clash and result would have meant that many of the Yorkshire giants’ young team struggled to impress, but one player in Romario Vieira came in for specific praise from opposition boss Morton, who stated his hopes that he will get into the Leeds first team in the near future.
“I thought he was just tremendous,” said Morton, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“He understands his role, wins the ball, and keeps it simple. He has got a bright future ahead of him. Just hopefully he will get into the first team, hopefully this year, if not pushing for next year.”
Romario Vieira signed a one-year deal with Leeds last September after his brother agreed a new three-year deal to stay at the club.
Unlike his twin the the 19-year-old is still waiting to make his competitive first team debut for the Elland Road outfit, but fans will be hoping they that both brothers can become a success for the club.
