Sources say that Nottingham Forest is still a very attractive job prospect for potential managers, even with the chaos surrounding the club.
Marinakis brutally sacked Nuno Espirito Santo last month, after the pair had a disagreement over the transfer business in the summer.
However, the chance to manage in the Premier League and Europa League is a very exciting proposition for many and could cancel out the lack of job security.
If Postecoglou is sacked, then Forest will be looking for their third manager of the season, but are still likely to have a number of interested parties in the role.

Sources say that the former Spurs boss is set to remain in his position until at least the visit of Chelsea in two weeks time.
However, Marinakis requires immediate improvement from Postecoglou, who has seemingly already lost the support of the Nottingham Forest fans.
The first couple of games after the international break are set to be pivotal for the 60-year-old, who remains adamant that he is up to the challenge of turning things around.
