Italy international Ogbonna faces a race against time to be fit to face United on August 13, with both Collins and Fonte waiting in the wings to replace him.
However, Collins’ deteriorating pace and Fonte’s disappointing start to life at West Ham will see Bilic give Ogbonna every chance to start against United.
