Hueng-Min Son sends message to Tottenham academy stars after being wowed
Tottenham captain Heung-Min Son took to social media to send a message to the club’s academy stars after their 3-0 Europa League win over Elfsborg on Thursday (January 30).
The 32-year-old played the first 45 minutes as Ange Postecoglu’s struggling side secured a spot in the Europa League round of 16.
Spurs dominated the game from the first whistle but it took until the 70th minute for the Premier League side to break the deadlock thanks to a close-range header from Dane Scarlett.
Damola Ajayi then doubled Tottenham’s lead just three minutes into his debut, having replaced Richarlison in the 81st minute.
Wonderkid Mikey Moore then rounded off the scoring in added time, marking the third academy star to score in Tottenham’s win over Elfsborg.

Son remains a key play for Tottenham despite being a veteran, starting 26 of his 30 games across all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists in his 2129 minutes of action.
The South Korea international took to Instagram after the game to congratulate his young teammates, saying: “What an incredibly special evening for our academy and the club. So much hard work from so many people coming together. Nothing but proud!!”
The emergence of these three young attacking options comes as it would appear Spurs have missed out on one of their main targets this January, 1.FC Nurnberg’s talented young Greek striker, Stefanos Tzimas.
