Hutton doesn’t trust Rangers signing plan as new details emerge
Alan Hutton is worried about Rangers recruitment.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said the recruitment at Ibrox up until now has “not been amazing”.
Sporting director Ross Wilson has come under scrutiny in recent weeks for some of the transfer decisions made by the club, including the decision to sign John Souttar, who has only played one game for the Light Blues since his arrival.

As quoted by the Daily Record (6 December), at the recent AGM, the Ibrox Board were asked by a disgruntled fan if they felt Wilson is the right person to be doing his job.
According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta Express (6 December), the Light Blues are interested in Slovakia international Jan Gregus.
The 31-year-old midfielder will be available for free at the end of December when his contract with San Jose Earthquakes expires.
When asked if the Gers should be capitalising on free transfers, Hutton told Football Insider: “If they are good enough.
“You have to trust the process that they go through, the scouting system, the network they have got in place.
“Has it been good so far? It has been ok. It has not been amazing so it is obviously a risk.

“Is it a risk worth taking? You are obviously not spending a lot of money. I think if you look at the midfield area, it is ageing. It needs fresh blood put into there. It is definitely something that they are going to have to look at.
“A free transfer, you are putting a lot of faith into the recruitment side of it and at this point I do not think it has been where they would want it to be.“
