Hutton in no doubt over Levy's Kane tactics as Man United line up swap deal
Alan Hutton insists Tottenham won't accept anything other than cold hard cash for Harry Kane.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, was reacting to the latest on Kane's future.
As revealed by Football Insider, Manchester United are planning to offer Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard in part-exchange to sign Kane.
In April, his site first broke the news that the England captain wants to leave Spurs this summer.
Football Insider revealed on 10th May Manchester United had stepped up their pursuit of Kane.
It is understood Spurs have placed a £150million valuation on their second-highest goalscorer.
Martial, 25, has only scored four Premier League goals this season.
Hutton claims Daniel Levy will only accept cash for Kane so Spurs can use those funds to overhaul their squad.
"I'm not sure you know," Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.
"On his day, Martial can be fantastic. But I also believe you watch him in games and he doesn't give you much.
"If you get rid of Kane to bring someone like Martial in, it doesn't suit them. The way Levy works, he won't want those deals.
"He won't want a deal where he gets a player then maybe only £70million for Kane. He wants top dollar for his prize asset.
"Whatever the figure is, he wants that and he won't budge. He doesn't have to sell him either.
"He wants as much money as he can so it can be reinvested in the whole squad, like when Bale left for Real Madrid.
"That's the reason I don't think there will be any swap deals."
