Tillman was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw against Hibernian on Saturday (20 August). .

The midfielder has played in the rest of the Bears’ six games this season, including their Champions League qualifiers.

He has scored two goals in that time, including the winning goal against Union Saint-Gilloise (9 August) which secured their place in the Champions League play-off.

On 15 July, Rangers confirmed the signing of the USA international from Bayern on a season long loan that includes an option to buy.

When asked if he was surprised that Tillman has settled in with his teammates so quickly, Hutton told Football Insider: “Yes.

Obviously being so young, he’s adapted really well. I think, coming from such a big club when the expectations are high, although he didn’t play a lot of games there, he still went through experiencing it. So, to come to Rangers stood him in good stead moving forward.

Rangers

You can see he’s a quality player, he’s built for European nights but not just that, he’s a big physical presence as well so he can deal with the rough and tumbled of the Premiership as well.

He’s settled in really quickly for one so young but I think from the experience of coming from a big club, that’s really helped him out.
