Hutton: Kamara would be an ‘absolute steal’ even at ‘massive’ new Rangers price tag
Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara would be an “absolute steal” if signed for £10million, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Gers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Finland international had established himself as a “standout” performer for club and country.
As revealed by Football Insider, the 25-year-old is valued at £10million-plus thanks to his impressive performances in Europe.
Kamara has started all 11 Europa League games this season to help the Gers reach the round of 16.
The 27-cap international has also featured in all 18 of Finland’s last fixtures.
As reported by the Glasgow Times, the midfielder only cost the Gers £50,000 back in January 2019.
Hutton admitted while the Gers could make a “massive profit”, he thinks Kamara is worth well in excess of eight figures.
Hutton told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “He’s not just an international, he’s a standout for Finland.
“That, with his European performances and how he’s playing in the league, regularly, week in, week out, is of a high level.
“They obviously bought him for £50,000 so £10million is a massive plus for Rangers. He’s a key asset and they won’t want to let him go on the cheap, that’s for sure.
“They’re looking for the most money possible if he’s to move on. For me, £10million would be an absolute steal.
“He’s a young player who’s only growing in confidence and getting better with each game.”
