Hutton suggests Rangers dressing room problem after Glen Kamara latest

Alan Hutton has suggested there is “something going on” behind the scenes at Rangers.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender suggested relations between Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Glen Kamara are becoming tense.

Kamara was taken off at half time in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren on Saturday (12 November).

The substitutions marks the third since February that the 27-year-old has been replaced at half time.

According to journalist Jordan Campbell (13 November), the midfielder was waiting in the foyer with his tracksuit on before watching the second half from the tunnel.

There was also said to have been a disagreement between Kamara and the manager at full time.

When asked if the argument was just a result of tensions flaring after a poor performance, Hutton told Football Insider: “You never know it could be deeper.

Obviously we are not privy to everything that is going on. I think if you are given an opportunity and you are taken off at half time, there is obviously frustration there.

Gio did have to change something, bring on someone more attacking, someone that was going to offer more going forward. As a player you are disappointed and it has maybe boiled over.

You know what it is like in changing rooms after, there may have been discussions and opinions were obviously voiced. We do not actually know but there is normally something going on in the background if we are hearing about it.

In other news, a pundit can’t believe £4.6m red tape could stop Rangers sacking Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
