‘I mean, it’s unbelievable’ – Tottenham’s relegation chances examined as new stats emerge
Tottenham have enough to stay in the Premier League as the relegation battle continues to open up.
That is according to former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that he believes Spurs will gather enough results to stay in the division, even if they have to reach 42 points.
West Ham’s recent surge in form has pulled multiple sides into the battle to stay up, with the likes of Tottenham and Crystal Palace now nervously looking over their shoulder.

Stefan Borson: Tottenham should have enough to stay in the Premier League
Tottenham finally sacked Thomas Frank last week, with Spurs now just five points above the relegation zone.
Now, with the underwhelming appointment of Igor Tudor, relegation fears have only increased for Tottenham fans.
However, they are not the only team who have suddenly been dragged into a battle for survival.
Crystal Palace are now just eight points clear, with the Croydon side losing 3-2 to Burnley last week, despite taking a quick 2-0 lead.

Now, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson has not ruled out Palace winning the Europa Conference League and getting relegated to the Championship.
He said: “Someone’s got to go down. I don’t know what the points total is going to be
for the team that’s relegated. Clearly, as you get higher and higher, as you get to 42
points, let’s say, maybe it could end up being Spurs.
“I can’t see it because I just can’t see how they can’t get 12 points. But you know, maybe.
“Even if it’s not Spurs, what if it’s Crystal Palace? You go from the heights of last
season, European football, and then all of a sudden, you’re in the championship.
“I mean, it’s unbelievable. And it’s not impossible that they win the conference, get into
the Europa League, and also get relegated. Crazier things have happened.”
Who is currently tipped to be relegated from the Premier League?
According to Opta on 16 February, the current bottom three are the most likely to go down in the Premier League this season.
Wolves have a 99.99 per cent chance of being relegated after their dire campaign, whereas Burnley have a 98.56 per cent chance.
West Ham remain heavy favourites to follow them at 72.04 per cent despite their recent good form.
Nottingham Forest are not ruled out of the race at 19.47 per cent, while Tottenham have just a 3.67 per cent chance of a shock drop into the Championship.
For Palace, their odds of going down are tiny at just 1.2 per cent.
