Liverpool stars ‘fuming’ with Salah after ‘insane’ update from Anfield Source – pundit
Some of Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool teammates may be “fuming” after his latest contract demands were revealed.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the player’s “insane” demands.
A Liverpool source told Football Insider on Friday (29th October) owners Fenway Sports Group want Salah, 29, tied down to a new deal well in advance of the January transfer window.

However, the Egypt international wants a £500,000-a-week deal running until 2026 to stay at Anfield.
The hitman’s current terms expire in 2023.
He has been in sensational form this season, scoring 17 goals in 12 total outings for the Reds.
However, McAvennie has labelled Salah‘s demands as “insane” and warned the relationship between him and the club could become toxic.
“That’s an insane amount of money,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But Salah can demand that. Both parties have to be really careful.
“If the club don’t pay and Salah leaves, there will be carnage. Even if Salah’s demands are too much, the fans will blame the club.
“My question is, can anyone else afford to pay Salah that much?
“Real Madrid and Barcelona can’t and I don’t think Liverpool would sell to a domestic rival.
“The one thing we don’t want to happen is for this to turn toxic. I hope the club and Salah can reach a compromise.
“I know football has changed but that is so much money. If my teammates was asking for that much I would be fuming.

“I imagine some of Salah’s teammates are too.
“They will be thinking ‘just focus on the football mate’.”
