Ian Wright massively unimpressed by Monk conduct during Leeds clash

Ian Wright was massively unimpressed with Leeds manager Garry Monk for getting in the way of Huddersfield boss David Wagner during their Championship game on Sunday afternoon.
The duo clashed in Monk’s technical area after the Terriers had scored a late winner against their Yorkshire rivals in their 2-1 win.
This resulted in Wagner running to go and celebrate with his players and clashing with Monk in the process.
Former Premier League boss Monk stepped in front of the German as he ran past him which resulted in a brawl between both sets of teams.
Former Arsenal striker Wright slammed Monk for his actions as he backed Wagner for his wild celebrations.
“But has it tipped over [Wagner’s celebration],” asked Wright on BBC Radio Five Live. “He’s run back here thinking ‘I may have made a mistake here’, but then Garry Monk gets in his way and bounces him. Then it kicks off, Monk could have easily avoided that.
“I saw a statement from Monk [regarding Wagner being disrespetful], and the fact is if that’s the case, don’t get in his way. Then when you are finished, over a glass of wine then you tell him all your stuff about your moral high ground. But he could have avoided that and I’m not going to blame Wagner for that.”
After everyone had calmed down, the referee sent both managers to the stands as Wagner’s side went on to claim a valuable three points.
Huddersfield leapfrogged their rivals in the table in the process as they are now in fourth place on 55 points from 29 games, one point and one place ahead of Leeds.
The duo could still meet again in May when the Championship play-offs take place as both look likely to clinch a top six spot.
Monk will be hoping his team can bounce back from this disappointing loss when they take on Cardiff at Elland Road next Saturday.
