Ianis Hagi sends five-word message to Rangers fans after development

Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi took to social media to send a message to the fans after their 4-0 Scottish Premier League win over Ross County on Sunday (February 2).

The 26-year-old scored a first-half brace for Philippe Clement’s side as they secured their fourth consecutive league win.

Hagi was in the right place at the right time to open the scoring after 18 minutes, latching on to Jordan Amissah’s parry from Vaclav Cerny’s initial shot.

The attacking midfielder’s second came seven minutes later after his free-kick took a heavy deflection off an opposition defender.

John Souttar and James Tavernier rounded off the scoring for Rangers against relegation-threatened Ross County, securing a valuable three points.

Hagi, who had previously been forced to train with the reserves under Clement has returned to the fold, starting 14 of his 18 games across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing five assists in his 1277 minutes of action.

The Romania international missed out on a place in the squad that secured a Europa League last-16 spot but he sent a message to his teammates after the win over Union St.Gilloise.

Hagi took to Instagram after the win over Ross County to let fans know there is still work to be done, saying: “That was good, we move!”
