A video was shared online of Konate motivating his teammates with a passionate speech before the game, giving people a glimpse at the leadership skills he has.
Liverpool fans were taken aback by the footage as they now believe that there is a natural successor to Virgil van Dijk when his time as captain ends.
The France international has been a key squad member under Arne Slot, having built a strong partnership with Van Dijk at the back.
The Reds boast the best defensive record in the Premier League this season and have kept six clean sheets, with Konate playing a part in all of those games.
