Ibrahima Konate reacts to Kylian Mbappe’s message amid Liverpool exit news

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has reacted to a message shared by France international teammate and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe.

Konate played a key role in Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning exploits, making 31 top-flight appearances in Arne Slot’s historic first season in charge at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Mbappe scored 43 goals in his first campaign at Madrid, but failed to help Los Blancos win silverware.

The forward notched a goal and an assist as France defeated Germany 2-0 in the UEFA Nations League third-place playoff on Sunday, 8 June, whereas Konate watched on as an unused substitute.

Real Madrid have shown an interest in Konate, while Los Blancos have already signed Trent Alexander-Arnold from the Reds.

After playing a key role for Arne Slot’s side, Konate is also wanted by PSG and Al Hilal, who are both featuring in this summer’s Club World Cup.

Meanwhile, after France beat Germany on Sunday, Mbappe celebrated the victory via an Instagram post captioned with blue, white, and red emojis.

The post attracted a like from Konate, who featured in France’s dramatic 5-4 defeat on Thursday, 5 June.

Liverpool set Luis Diaz asking price

While the Reds could face an uphill battle to retain the services of Konate this summer, the 26-year-old is not the only Liverpool asset who has attracted suitors in the transfer market.

Backup goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros could leave Anfield on loan once again, having previously endured temporary stints with Austrian club Sturm Graz, Stockport County, Notts County, and Irish outfit St Patrick’s Athletic.

Jaros made two appearances for the Merseyside giants this term, helping Slot’s men beat Brighton in the Carabao Cup in October, after making a cameo outing in the Premier League against Crystal Palace when Alisson went off injured.

Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Liverpool will demand £70million for Luis Diaz, who has attracted interest from Barcelona.

Hansi Flick is intent on bolstering his Barca ranks after winning both La Liga and the Copa Del Rey, while the Catalonian outfit were beaten by Inter in the Champions League semi-finals.
