Konate started the match but was substituted at half-time for Jarell Quansah following a controversial first half.
Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett told Football Insider that Liverpool star Konate was lucky to avoid a red card, claiming he should have been sent off after committing two bookable offences in quick succession.
The Frenchman picked up an early yellow card and later made another challenge on Cunha that could have warranted a second booking. Instead, Arne Slot opted to take him off at the break to avoid further risk.
Despite the challenges and the early substitution, Konate still took to social media to celebrate the win with the fans.

Konate has been a key figure for Arne Slot’s side this season, making 27 appearances in all competitions, including 18 starts in his 19 Premier League matches. He has also contributed two goals and two assists, forming a strong defensive partnership with Van Dijk.
However, his performance against Wolves was below his usual standards, sparking concerns among fans. With reports linking Konate to a move to Paris Saint-Germain, supporters will hope speculation about his future isn’t affecting his focus.

Liverpool opened contract talks with Konate earlier in the season, but discussions have since stalled as the club prioritises new deals for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Van Dijk.
With his current contract set to expire in 2026, the club will need to act soon to secure his long-term future.
Despite his struggles against Wolves, Konate’s form this season has been crucial for the side. As they continue their Premier League title push, he will be expected to still start in their tough away fixture against Aston Villa on 19 February.
