Rangers have agreed the terms of a deal worth more than £10million in total for Kemar Roofe, Football Insider understands.

The Scottish giants announced yesterday that the striker, 27, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal that ties him to Ibrox until 2024.

Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that the club will pay an initial fee of around £4.5m for Roofe that will be topped up by performance-related add-ons.

The former Leeds United star will also earn more than £20,000-a-week as well as pocket a major signing-on fee.

The deal is worth in excess of £10m across four years.

It is a major financial commitment from Rangers, who also announced the signing yesterday of a second striker in Cedric Itten as he finalised a move from Swiss side St Gallen.

The arrivals of the senior duo on the same day strongly suggest that Alfredo Morelos is on the verge of ending his three-year stay at Ibrox.

Morelos has flown out to Germany with the Rangers squad to prepare for Thursday's Europa League second-leg clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

But there are fears among supporters that may turn out to be his last match for Steven Gerrard's side.

Roofe has joined after just a year at Anderlecht, where his injury-hit debut campaign yielded seven goals in 16 matches.

The West Brom academy product secured a move to Belgium after a stellar 2018-19 season for Leeds in which he netted 15 goals in 34 matches.
