‘Idiot’ Grealish on ‘last warning’ at Man City after Guardiola decision – pundit
Jack Grealish may already be on his last warning at Man City after being dropped for last weekend’s win over Newcastle.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Pep Guardiola’s bold decision.
On 20 December, The Telegraph reported Grealish, 26 and teammate Phil Foden have been warned about his off-field behaviour.

City were reportedly unhappy with the condition in which both players returned to training after going out celebrating following a 7-0 win over Leeds on 14 December.
The duo were dropped for Sunday’s (19 December) win over Newcastle though McAvennie claims this was the wrong course of action.
“People forget these guys are just kids really,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They have to have a bit of downtime. Yes, he was probably an idiot for what he did.
“He’s not really done anything wrong though, has he? Guardiola needs to get over that.
“Pep wasn’t even in the country so it’s one of those. The media have made a lot of this, as they tend to do.
“Jack has a bit of previous, that’s the problem. I think in this situation, a last warning would have been fair.
“Pep should have sat Grealish down and given him a warning. Then something like, ‘if you do that again you are getting sold’.
“That’s what was needed there. Being dropped is so harsh. They have had a few beers and were a bit rough the next day.
“Are you telling me Pep didn’t do that?”

City didn’t need the missing duo as they breezed past Newcastle.
They are next in action against Leicester City on Boxing Day.
