Igor Tudor to go ‘full-blown Conte’ as Tottenham fans explode at injury admission
Tottenham supporters are already expecting an explosive end-of-season interview from new manager Igor Tudor.
The former Juventus boss has only been in charge for one game – a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal – with upcoming games against Fulham, Crystal Palace and Liverpool in the relegation battle.
Despite a change of manager, with Spurs getting rid of Thomas Frank after eight months in North London, nothing appears to have changed just yet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tudor has been able to welcome back Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, but with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Mohammed Kudus still sidelined, times are tough.
Spurs have one of the most injury-prone squads in the Premier League, it would appear, and many have wondered exactly why so many players struggle to stay fit. Like everyone else, Tudor is confused.
Igor Tudor is keeping quiet about Tottenham’s injury crisis
When quizzed about Spurs’ injury crisis, Tudor kept silent on the situation, instead deciding to “keep them to myself” during his most recent press conference.
Supporters are now expecting him to have a “full-blown [Antonio] Conte moment” after the former Italian boss went into an impressive rage about the club back in March 2023.
Many are patiently awaiting an “interesting exit interview” at the end of the season, with some suggesting the new manager has an “undertone of simmering rage” after just a few weeks in North London.
- @SpursStand: “He’s got an undertone of simmering rage about him; Contes was more on the surface for all to see. I like it, it’s refreshing.”
- @POZZYVIBES12: “What does this mean then?”
- @fightingcock_11: “These players are not fit because they want to show up at training and jog around lightly, they don’t want to run during games because they’re more worried about Instagram.”
Tottenham’s state of play in the Premier League relegation battle
With 11 games left to play, Spurs are just four points above the dropzone, and things are only going to get more difficult for Tudor and his players.
Although he could be about to welcome back some important players, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Everton all await the Lilywhites, all with the risk of relegation.
| Tottenham’s next five fixtures (Home or Away) | Date |
| Fulham (A) | 1 March |
| Crystal Palace (H) | 5 March |
| Liverpool (A) | 15 March |
| Nottingham Forest (H) | 22 March |
| Sunderland (A) | 11 April |
Welcoming the Toffees to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the final day of the season could actually have huge ramifications for the club, given that all the clubs around are suddenly playing better.
Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have gotten West Ham firing on all cylinders, while Daniel Farke looks set to take Leeds United much further up the table before the games run out.
